*update: The Safe and Sound Protocol is not currently available with me - please message me for a practitioner in your area*
Developed by neuro-scientist Dr Stephen Porges and his team at the Kinsey Institute and managed by Integrated Listening Systems (ILS), SSP is a leading-edge neurological intervention which is now available in the UK.
SSP is a five-day intervention specifically designed to reduce neurological stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing capacity for social engagement and emotional resilience.
By calming the physiological and emotional state, a neurological doorway may be opened for improving communication and thus lead towards more successful therapy and learning.
The SSP is a research-based therapy which is showing significant results in just five days in the following areas:
-
Social and emotional difficulties
-
Auditory sensitivities
-
Anxiety and trauma related challenges
-
Inattention
-
Stressors that impact adversely on social engagement
The SSP intervention may be useful in any situation where a person experiences sensory hypersensitivities (overwhelm - often manifesting as emotional 'melt-downs'). Neuro-diversity in Autistic spectrum traits, trauma and PTSD are indicated. To find out more, download the information sheet and follow the ILS link above.
